Learning All About Teeth - Dental Health Month
8:27 AM
We are spending some time this month learning about teeth! The kids are fascinated by how the number of baby teeth (32) changes to the number of permanent teeth (20)! We made these tooth models around the edges as we learned the different parts of the teeth. These come from a great teacher book called The Body Book, by Scholastic!
We also created mouth models showing the 32 baby teeth and what they are called and how they fit into our mouths. We talked about how each type of tooth works and what they are each used for as we bite and chew.
We also completed a tooth science lab using egg shells to represent the enamel of our teeth. We covered one part in toothpaste and left the other part alone and then soaked them in different types of liquids! So much fun!
My kids are so engaged with hands-on activities like this one! Click here to purchase the Dental Health Lab Pack!
